Altai Tavan Bogd (Altai Five Mountains) National Park covers an area of about 630,000m² and is the largest national park in Mongolia. The highest peaks of the Altai Mountains, Khuiten Peak (4374m), Nairamdal Peak (4192m), Burged Peak (4068m), Malchin Peak (4051m), and Olgii Peak (4050m). Above, there are scenic lakes such as Khurgan, Khoton and Dayan Lakes. The foot of the Khuiten peak is capped by the Potanin glacier. The national park is home to rare species of wildlife such as Siberian ibex, maral deer and elk. In addition to this, there are many ruins, deer stones, murals and stone figures from the Turkic period in the park. The average altitude of Altai Five Mountains National Park is 3000m.
