Location

Mongolia has a land area of 2392 km east-west and 1259 km north-south, and is about four times as large as Japan. There are many grasslands from the central part to the east, the southern and western part are desert areas, and the northern part is a forest area. In the west, the Mongolian Altai Mountains stretch out, with 3,000 m and 4,000 m-class mountains. Although it is not in contact with the sea, it is a country rich in nature with mountains, lakes, rivers and prairie.
