There are more than 430 thousand Bactrian Camels in Mongolia. Bactrian camels are only found in Mongolia, China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This powerful animal is considered a modern day dinosaur. The Camel Festival is regularly celebrated from March 6th through 8th each year in Bulgan Village of Umnugobi Province, attended by both foreigners and locals.
