    Review

Mongolia has a vast territory in Central Asia and has a small population that lives in the most environmentally friendly way by raising livestock. Take a tour of untouched wilderness and enter the Tsagaan Cave, which is believed to have been inhabited by homo sapiens 750,000 years ago. We will visit "Bichigt Rock", which is also called an ancient art museum of cave art. Enjoy the beauty of the oasis with sharp 'Tsonj' peaks of Mount Ikhbogd and Mongolia's largest sand dunes. Since this tour takes a long time, tourists don't often go on this tour, so you won't meet many other tourists, so we believe that you will be able to fully enjoy and immerse yourself in this scenic beauty of nature.

Khugnu khaan National Park, Bayankhongor Souma, Ikhbogd Mountain “Tsonj” Peak, Tsagaan Cave, Bichigt Rock, Khongor Sand Dunes, Bayanzag souma and the town of  Dalanzadgad.

    About tour

Day 1: Upon arrival at the airport, meet your guide and drive to the ger camp at the foot of Mount Bogd (approximately 20 km). Mount Bogd is the southernmost of Mongolia's forest area, part of the Khentii Mountains, and a historic sacred mountain. This ger camp is at the highest peak of Mount Bogd at 2268m

Day 2: After breakfast, we will move to a vast area of sand called “Great Mongolian Sand” that stretches for about 80 km in Khugnu Khaan National Park. Spend the night in a ger camp beneath the unique rock formations of Khugnu Khaan mountain, overlooking the sand dunes in front of it, and the Tarna River. Trees such as willows and elms grow because the sand is damp under the influence of the Tarna River. After checking into the ger camp, visit a nearby nomadic family and observe their humble lifestyle. After dinner, go up to the nearby sand dunes and enjoy your time in the sand. If you wish, you can also go horseback riding or ride a two-humped camel. (Additional charge)

Day 3: After breakfast, visit the horse monument in Uvurkhangai province and drive to Bayankhongor province. Tour the Bayankhongor Provincial Museum and hear an in-depth explanation of the main destinations of the trip. Visit markets and supermarkets and shop. Check in to the hotel. Lunch and dinner at a restaurant in Bayankhongor town. (360 km paved road)

Day 4: After breakfast, drive to the “Gobi camel” ger camp in Bayangobi souma. Stay 3 nights in this ger camp and tour the main tourist spots in Bayankhongor Province. (210 km, nature trail) After arriving at the ger camp, have lunch and enjoy free time until dinner.

Day 5: Departure to 'Tsonj' summit of Mt. Ikhbogd. Hike and enjoy the views from the majestic Tsonj Peak, formed when the highest peak of the Gobi Altai Mountains, Mt. Ikhbogd was destroyed by a massive earthquake in 1957. Lunch is a bento. (140 km - nature trail) The current highest peak of the Gobi Altai Mountains, Mt. Ikhbogd, is 3,957 meters above sea level, and our destination, the summit of Tsonj, is at about 3,000 meters. It is located in the Gobi region of Mongolia, but like the Khangai region, it has perpetual snow, moss, alpine plants, and a variety of medicinal herbs growing. It is written that the snow that falls on the summit of Ikhbogd in midsummer turns to rain in the middle of the mountain, and the temperature at the foot of the mountain is 20 to 30 degrees Celsius.

Day 6: After breakfast, depart to 'Tsagaan Caves' where remnant traces of homo sapiens’ habitat were discovered 750,000 years ago. Lunch is bento. (280 km Nature Trail) There is a limestone mountain in the southern part of Mt. Bagabogd. At the foot of the mountain there is an entrance facing west, 3.5 meters wide and 3.2 meters high, which was excavated six times between 1987 and 2000, with relics uncovering 750,000 years old. The cave is a horizontal cavern defined as an ancient relic. The roof of the cave is spherical and the floor is flat. The walls and roof are covered with large fluffy yellow fluorite crystals. The cave has a total length of 44.1 meters, an average height of 4.5 meters and an average width of 4.4 meters. There are four large halls connected to each other by narrow tunnels, and the third has a rather large chimney. After the visit, we will return to the ger camp. Free time after dinner.

Day 7: After breakfast, head to “Bichigt Rock”. There is a wall painting left by ancient people that once settled here 3000 BC at the mouth of Mt. Ikhbayan. The rock formations and the cave art containing them are considered “Nature gallery” which depicts various animals such as deer, wild goats, hunters, horses and camels. Lunch is bento. (280 km, nature trail) I found a picture of a man plowing a field with a plow attached to a cow. It is said that this is evidence that farming was done using the power of livestock 3000 years ago. Take your time and explore the largest and most historically important heritage site in Central Asia. After the visit, we will return to the ger camp. Free time after dinner.

Day 8: After breakfast, depart to Mongolia's largest 'Hon Golin Sand Dunes' located in Sevrey Village, South Gobi Province. Lunch is bento. (200km/Natural Road) Behind Mt. Sevrey and Mt. Zulun, the dunes stretch for 180km, with heights ranging from 10m to 195m and widths ranging from 800m to 27km. If you climb the Hongoreen Sand Dunes and take a panoramic view, you can see a rocky mountain on the south side, a sand dune where no plants can grow in the middle, and an oasis with plenty of greenery at the foot of the river on the north side, which looks very beautiful. At the northern end of the dunes, the Seroon springs spring up, and the Hongorin River flows westward along the dunes for about 10 kilometers.

Day 9: After breakfast, we drive to Dalanzadagad town. On the way, stop at Bayanzag, one of the famous tourist destinations of South Gobi. It is famous for being the first fossilized dinosaur egg found here. Lunch is bento. (180 km - nature road) It is called Bayanzag because it has many Gobi shrubs called Zag. Formed from south to north, the red clay soil of Bayanzag, 5 km wide and 8 km long, looks like a fire burning in the setting sun, and was discovered by the American Museum of Natural History in the 1920s. Commander Andrews

They called it the "Burning Hill". As a result of this expedition, many new discoveries of dinosaurs from 60 to 80 million years ago were discovered, making it a world-famous place for paleontology. There is Zag Forest on the north side of Bayan Zag. Traces of ancient people who lived 40,000 years ago and earlier are still being found in the forest. After the tour, transfer to Dalanzadgad town. Check-in at the hotel, after dinner, free time.
