Khyargas lake located 220 km from Ulaangom city. Lying at in altitude of 1028 meters above sea level, it is a salt lake, which is 75 km in length and 31 km in width. The one of the deepest lake in the Great Lakes Basin, the maximum depth is 80 meters. The way to the Khyargas lake is desert steppe landscape and there is Khar Termis spring near the lake. The spring is very effective for internal organs and many Mongolians aiming to drink it. Khetsuu khad rock is most attractive natural formation in this area, the lake waves are very strong and it seems like an ocean beach resort of Mongolia.
