Khodoo aral, Avarga ruins

Khuduu Aral in Khentii Province is supposedly the birthplace of the Mongol Empire. Khuraldai (large assembly) where all Mongolian royal families and senior members gather together is often held, and the coronation ceremony of successive khans such as Genghis Khan, Ugudei Khan, Munkh Khan, and Yusuntumur Khan is held. It was also a place to meet. "History of Mongolia '' is also written here. Various studies have proven that Genghis Khan's "great palace" and mausoleum "eight white gers" existed until the 15th century. Naturally, there are many historical sites mentioned in "History of Mongolia ''. The Auraga ruins are located 12 km southwest of Dergelhan village. In the mid-1950s, the eminent Mongolian archaeologist Perley identified the site as Genghis Khan's “Avraga Palace”.

From 1961 to 1976, a number of detailed national surveys were conducted. Since 2001, joint excavation research has been carried out with the participation of Japanese archaeologists, and this is the site of Genghis Khan's "Great Palace'', which played a central role in politics and economy in the early days of the Mongol Empire. After that, it was revealed that it existed as a mausoleum and was one of the sacred places where people worshiped.
